This is the Ducati Monster 1200 25° Anniversario, a special limited edition to celebrate the 25th birthday of the iconic Monster superbike.
Only 500 numbered examples will be produced. The Monster 1200 25° Anniversario comes with a gold colored frame, forged Marchesini wheels with W-shaped spokes, solid aluminum mirrors, frame plugs, handlebar end weights, carbon fiber front and rear mudguards, and a carbon fiber exhaust heat guard. The seat is embroidered with the 25th anniversary logo, and there is a plate with the bike’s number on the frame, just under the fuel tank.
All looking very good, but how does it go..?
The 25° Anniversario is powered by a 1.2 liter V-Twin engine with 147 hp @ 9,250 rpm and 124 Nm @ 7,750 rpm. Dry weight is just 184 kilo, making for warp speed. Zero to 100 is gone in just 3.2 seconds, and top speed is 260 kilometers per hour.
That much speed needs a proper stop. The 25° Anniversario does not disappoint:
The suspension consists of an adjustable 48 mm Öhlins fork, and adjustable Öhlins rear shock. The brake system is sourced from Brembo. The front is made up of two Brembo 330 mm diameter semi-floating discs, paired to monobloc M50 4-piston calipers. The rear is fitted with a 245 mm diameter disc, paired to a 2-piston caliper. ABS is standard.
The front suspension and front brake system. The front discs are large for a bike of this kind. Most comparable machines use 30 millimeter discs.
The Ducati Monster 1200 25° Anniversario will arrive at dealers in November, priced just under $20.000 in the United States, and around €18.000 in Europe.
